✨ What's new

• New: Audio Trimmer for Pro. Keep the recording you want, without the extra audio around it. Trim unwanted beginnings and endings from MP3 or WAV files, including repeated intros captured from looping playback. Use waveform previews and sub-second precision to find the right cut. Add optional silence before or after the trimmed audio to give your clip a little breathing room at the start or finish, and hear the result before saving. Export a new same-format copy; your original stays untouched. Open Tools > Audio Trimmer from the tray menu. Saving requires Pro or an active Pro trial; Free users can preview files through direct launch.
• New: Quiet update notices, with download and install controls. AirClip automatically checks for new versions and shows a small cyan icon in the Mini Deck when an update is available, with matching status in the tray menu. No popups or interruptions: hover for status, or click to open the update panel and view release notes. Choose Download to fetch the installer and see its progress. Once the download is verified, choose Install update when you're ready. Your AirClip Pro license includes free lifetime updates, including all future versions. No subscription or upgrade fees. Nothing downloads or installs automatically, and your settings, license, and recordings are preserved. You can also check manually from About > Check for updates. If AirClip cannot reach the update service, it quietly pauses automatic checks for that session.
• Two clear audio quality choices. By popular request, AirClip Free now supports MP3 alongside CD-quality WAV. Choose MP3, the default, for smaller files or CD-quality WAV for uncompressed audio. Both choices are available in Free and Pro.
• Email your log to support. Settings > Runtime now includes an "Email log to support" button. AirClip prepares a message with a copy of your log, using Outlook when available or a compatible default email app. You review and send it yourself. If your mail app cannot attach the log automatically, AirClip offers a manual-attachment fallback.

🚀 Improvements

• Safer overnight behavior. Automatic Recording started manually stops when the computer sleeps and stays off after waking. Any active clip is saved. Scheduled DVR sessions are handled separately so their schedule remains intact. Sleep still interrupts actual audio capture; AirClip cannot record while the computer is asleep.
• Smoother trial expiry. The transition from trial to Free is smoother and quieter. Pro-only controls update without requiring a restart, while your MP3 or CD-quality WAV selection stays available. Any recording already underway finishes with its existing settings.
• One expiry notice. The trial-expired notification appears only once for that trial, including across restarts. Normal recording and error notifications remain available.
• More reliable shutdown. Resolved an issue that could display a closed-log-writer error when exiting AirClip. Error messages now distinguish startup problems from errors during use or shutdown.
• Easier access to a running AirClip. Launching AirClip again opens the Mini Deck rather than showing an already-running warning.
